Hyllus is a genus of the spider family Salticidae (jumping spiders). Most species occur in Africa and Madagascar, many in Australasia up to India. H. insularis is found in Greece and Iran; however, it is considered misplaced in this genus. I found this female Hyllus sp. on a bushes in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. Twice found this heavy jumper on that particular bushes. This Hyllus sp. ♀ measures about 10mm.

The Hyllus sp. ♀ on foliage.

1. The Hyllus sp. ♀ with prey

2. The another Hyllus sp. ♀ that I found near the first one.

3. The foliage/bushes where the Hyllus sp. ♀ were found.
