Carrhotus is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). The genus name is derived from the Greek Κάῤῥωτος, according to Thorell. I found this jumping spider on tall grass in nearby forest. It measures about 5mm.

1. The Carrhotus sp. ♀ on foliage where I found it. It has goldish scale before moulting and the new scale is like the photos on top (darker scales).

2. The grass where I found the Carrhotus sp. ♀
