Myrmarachne malayana ♀ (Selangor)

Also known as Malayan Ant Jumper, this is a common black ant mimic, recognised in the field by its short abdomen, a pale-coloured crescent on the dorsal carapace behind the eyes, a patch of white hairs on each of the lateral sides of the carapace, and a ring of white hairs around the anterior one-third of the abdomen. This female ant jumper measures about 5mm.
